Under Surveillance - April Case Files

Thank you to everyone who participated in our April challenges. We have chosen our favorite layouts from the April Case Files.

Congratulations to all of our players who are highlighted! You can grab your badges here.

Here are our favorites from Major Case File No. 227. Here's a reminder of the Case File they used:

Tell your story. It's our tagline, and here at CSI, it's one of our missions to get our members to delve deeper into journaling--to document the meaningful bits and pieces that make up our lives. We would like to shine a special spotlight each week on a member who did an exceptional job telling their story. And we'd like to thank Scrapbook Fantasies for donating a wonderful prize to our Star Witness for each Case File.

Star Witnesses, please send me your mailing address via private message on our CSI Facebook page for your prize.

Vija Anton
Vija's beautiful layout caught our eye, and even though she added quite a bit of blue to the palette, which was perfect for the beach photo of the precious dog, we were so touched by this gift she made for her friend who lost her dog and so impressed by her poem, that we had to name Vija Star Witness. Vija's poem, written on the back, reads:

Whenever you go to sleep I will run in your dreams
When your tears dry on your face it's because I've licked them
When Mardee suddenly turns it's because I said "come on let's play"
I will never leave you-I'm always just a thought away
I will be watching and waiting
I know you are doing the same
I leave you my love because my pawprint is on your heart
I am your dog-your Willow!

For each Case File, three of our favorite layouts will be chosen to feature as our "Most Wanted." As with last month, there were so many outstanding pages, we couldn't choose just three.

Nicole Doiron

Jennifer Walth

Ginger Cameron

Carrie Williams

Sandra Brimelow

And a few more that caught our eye...

Gunilla R

We're not exactly sure what Gunilla's journaling says, but we thought it was awesome that she incorporated a lot of journaling onto her page design. We love how she displayed it on a homemade postcard, and she also wrote a sweet little letter and tucked it in a wee envelope:

Case File No. 230 - Deadline: May 31, 2017

We've got a groovy new Case File for our May mid-month challenge!

Don't forget that you still have the whole month for our Major Case File too.

So, are you ready for the new challenge? Grab you forensics kits, CSI players, and get ready for some serious sleuthing as we open Major Case File No. 230.

CASE FILE:

We're mixing it up this month with our Case File themes. Did you know that that it's National Transportation Week? With this in mind, our Case File is inspired by this whimsical Scene by British artist Gary Walton.

Remember to scroll all the way down to the bottom of this reveal post for RGB codes, color descriptions, and more detailed explanations of the Evidence and Testimony prompts.

For our Russian players, Detective Anastasia has translated our Case File into Russian:

Правила на русском языке вы можете прочитать здесь.

SPONSORS
We're so excited to have ten generous sponsors this month! Our sponsors are among the best in the crafting industry, offering unique and trendy products. CLICK HERE to read more about these generous sponsors and the prizes they're donating.

GUEST DESIGNERS
We are thrilled to have the design team from The Cut Shoppe join us this month as Guest Detectives! We also have a Special Investigator, a talented player here at CSI: Tracy B.

Here's a little bit about Tracey, in her own words:

Hi, I’m Tracey from Melbourne, Australia, and I am a mother, scrapbooker, world traveller, and Detective (in real life!), not necessarily always in that order. I have been scrapping for about 13 years, and my 17-year-old son was my greatest source of inspiration until he became photo phobic about 3 years ago. Now no-one is safe.

As a former fitter & turner familiar with technical drawings, when I first started scrapping I favoured a very graphic style and struggled to even place my photo on an angle. My style has evolved with lots of mixed media being thrown in now. It’s still rare though that my photo is angled!

Be sure to check out Tracey's work on her blog, Plodscrap.

INSPIRATION

So...are you ready for some serious inspiration?
